We strongly encourage all participants to take the time to set up their Crowdrise web page. It is proven to help make your fundraising efforts more successful.
What is Crowdrise in 21 words?
If LinkedIn is for your professional world, and facebook is for your personal world, then Crowdrise is for your charitable world."
How it Works
1. Visit the Run 4 Kids Crowdrise page and click the "Join the Team" button under "The Team" section of the page.
2. This will prompt you to either "Sign In" or "Sign Up." (if you have not previously registered with Crowdrise, you must create a new account). If you already have a facebook, Twitter, Yahoo, Windows Live, or Gmail account you can use your username and password to create an account with Crowdrise.
3. When you are creating your Crowdrise account, Crowdrise will generate a web address for your fundraising page. This will be your personal web page, much like a facebook page.
4. Now it's time to personalize your page and share it with friends and family.
- Write a great letter! Let your friends, family and colleagues know how you feel about your accomplishments and your connection to Youth Homes. Click here for a sample letter with important information about Youth Homes.
- Be creative! There are many tools you can use to make your web page more fun for your friends and family to visit. Check out some of celebrity and top fundraiser Crowdrise pages for ideas.
- Add photos! Everyone wants to see you and how your training is coming along.
- Put up a video! Crowdrise allows you to put up videos that are hosted on Vimeo and Youtube.com.

.Email your page to friends, family and colleagues, who donate by credit or debit card in an easy, secure online transaction. Be sure your Run 4 Kids "Project" is selected, then click the "Ask for Donations" button.
7. Did you build a Crowdrise webpage but you still received some of your donations aside from online giving? You can track them through your Crowdrise page by entering them as OFFLINE GIFTS. Simply click the "Enter Offline Donations" link under your Team Member's Toolkit heading on your Crowdrise Run 4 Kids "Project" page. To be sure you are accessing the correct crowdrise page to see these choices, use the url www.crowdrise.com/run4kids2012/fundraiser/your name or team name you used to build your page. For example, www.crowdrise.com/run4kids2012/fundraiser/pattiprato.
