We strongly encourage all participants to take the time to set up their Firstgiving web page. It is proven to help make your fundraising efforts more successful.

How it Works

1. Visit www.firstgiving.com sand click the "Raise Money" button in the center of the page.

2. This will prompt you to either "log in" or "create an account." (if you have not previously registered, you must create a new account).

3. Once you've created your account, firstgiving.com will generate a web address for your fundraising page.

4. Now it's time to personalize your page and share it with friends and family.

  • Write a great letter! Let your friends, family and colleagues know how you feel about your accomplishments and your connection to Youth Homes. Click here for a sample letter with important information about Youth Homes.
  • Be creative! There are many tools you can use to make your web page more fun for your friends and family to visit.
  • Add photos! Everyone wants to see you and how your training is coming along.
  • Link to other sites! Firstgiving.com allows you to link to video on youtube.com*, attach your page to your facebook profile, add photos from your flickr account, and create a widget for your own or someone else's website.

6 .Email your page to friends, family and colleagues, who donate by credit or debit card in an easy, secure online transaction.

7. Did you build a FirstGiving webpage but you still received some of your donations aside from online giving? You can track them through your FirstGiving page by entering them as OFFLINE GIFTS. Click here to download the instructions.
